The astrophysicists Karl Glazebrook and Ivan Baldry surveyed the light emitted by more than 200,000 galaxies, using the 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey. They deduced the colour of the present universe that an observer would see if they viewed it from the outside is 'cosmic latte'. Imagining taking the viewpoint of God, looking in from the outside, the universe would appear a drab beige colour. The artful universe is currently in a 'Beige Period'. The early universe was in a 'Blue Period' and in the future the universe will be in its 'Red Period'.
